Methodology for the 24-Hour NAAQS

The suggested steps outlined below assume that the attainment test has been performed using the

photochemical modeling and that the quarterly DV’s have been computed as discussed in

Section 5.2. As with the annual design value, monitoring data for 5 years are used as the basis

for the projection.

(1) Determine the local primary PM2.5 sources that are thought to be contributing to the monitor

for each of the 4 quarters60.
